What is a mother?
She is an anchor in a deep sea
grounding me as I sail through uncharted waters.
She is an infinite source of nourishment and respite
for my tender heart.
As I soar to reach new heights, she lifts me with her songs of praise.
And when I stray,
in her eyes, I still gleam with perfect possibility.
She gives
and gives
and gives,
never asking anything in return.
She is called Terra, Pachamama, Gaia.
She is The Mother and I am forever her child.
