Making Friends with Father Time?

I am approximately 80 hours into the sanding of my Atlantic Black marble sculpture at the level of the first grit. This particular marble looks stunning when polished to a 600 grit, so I have at least six more grit levels that I must complete before achieving the smoothness that I'm after. Then there is the application of rouge and wax. So right about now in the process, the little voice in my head is beginning to say "Are we there yet?!" That's when I know it's time for me to sit down and have a cup of tea with father time.

Living in such a fast paced world I often find myself at odds with wanting to move faster but not wanting to give up the results that only ample time can give me. So in 2020, this new decade, I'm hoping to make friends with father time or at least make peace with him, and to recognize the construct of time, let it fade away, and leave room for the timeless nature of simply doing what one loves.

Thank you all for such a marvelous and memorable year! I am forever grateful!

XXOO,

Christina
